What we collect

WhatsApp number — to verify it’s really you and to send teaching reminders and updates.
Name & email — to sign you in (via a one-time link) and to print your certificate.
Forane, parish & the classes you teach — to place you in the right group and track your formation.

Why we use it

We use the above only to run your catechism-teacher formation: verifying your identity, signing you in, delivering lessons and reminders, awarding points and certificates, and grouping you by parish. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

WhatsApp messages

With your consent, we may message you on WhatsApp for verification and for catechism reminders and updates. You can stop these anytime (see below) — it will not affect your ability to sign in by email.

Your rights

You may access or correct your information, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your data. To withdraw WhatsApp consent or update your details, open your Profile in the app (WhatsApp messages → turn off), or contact us using the details below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before the withdrawal.

Contact & grievances

For any privacy request or grievance, contact the BCT team of the Archeparchy of Kalyan through your forane catechism office, or reply to any BCT email. We will respond as required under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

This notice is provided in English; a Malayalam version can be made available on request. We may update this notice; material changes will be communicated in the app.
